Well situated on Whitby’s West Cliff, close to the Leisure Centre and Registry Office the comfort and hospitality of the Whitby & District Rifle Club can be found just a few minutes stroll from the narrow streets and winding alleyways of this delightful, historic town.

Located in Captain Cook Country on the Yorkshire’s beautiful East Coast, close to North Yorkshire Moors, the Whitby & District Rifle Club is also an ideal venue for Christenings, Weddings, Parties, Funeral teas, Conferences, Seminars, Meetings or any other special occasion. We can cater for up to 150 people combining a high quality ambience with the splendid Yorkshire Coastal location of Whitby.

The club offers a range of indoor sports, together with a social club and excellent function and meeting rooms. Originally a target shooting club, we now have in addition indoor short mat bowls and quoits together with the tradition bar games of pool, dominoes and darts. We take part in local, county and national competitions.

There is an active social program, featuring live music and entertainment at weekends, together with quiz nights and bingo evenings. Although a Private Members Club, visitors are always welcome in a warm, comfortable and inviting environment. Our bar offers excellent value to members and visitors.

The club has excellent function and meeting rooms, available to non-members and is ideally suited for parties, receptions and meetings, with refreshments provided as required.

The club is open each evening from 7pm and at other times during the day by arrangement.
